The Mankwe Reserve is home to around 2000 head of wild game including eland, white rhino, giraffe, and large herds of impala, wildebeest and zebra as well as many other interesting and rare species of game (30 different mammal species. Nocturnal animals include aardvark, brown hyena, civet, genet, leopard and honey badger. Over 300 species of birds also occur here.   The camp is situated a mere 150km from Johannesburg (2 hours by road), 6km from the Manyane Gate (Pilanesburg National Park), 25km from Sun City and 15km from Pilanesberg International Airport.
